Smart Home Transformation in the Capital
Smart Home
The brief
Set in the heart of London, this full-scale smart home transformation was designed to elevate modern city living. The homeowners sought a seamless digital ecosystem that balanced sophistication, comfort, and control. Potters Home Digital delivered just that - integrating lighting, heating, cooling, AV, shading and networking into one intuitive Control4 platform for effortless living.
The delivery
Centralised Home Automation – Control4
A Control4 system was deployed as the backbone of the smart home, bringing together all subsystems under a single, intuitive interface. This allowed for effortless control of lighting, curtains, audio, video, heating and air conditioning via touchscreens, mobile apps, and keypads - delivering a truly connected living experience while removing wall clutter of controllers and thermostats.
Intelligent Lighting Control
The property was outfitted with an Eco Lutron lighting system, providing dynamic, scene-based lighting throughout. Aged Bronze finish Allise keypads were installed in each room, offering elegant and tactile control points that interface seamlessly with the Control4 ecosystem.
Automated Window Treatments
Motorised curtains and shades from Lutron were integrated to enhance the home's ambiance and privacy. Controlled via the Control4 system, these treatments offer scheduled automation, one-touch scenes, and remote control functionality.
Enterprise-Grade Home Network
A high-performance network infrastructure was implemented, ensuring fast, secure, and reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property. The system was designed to support the demands of modern smart living, including streaming, automation, and mobile device usage.
Multi-Room Audio Distribution
Discreet plaster in (invisible) ceiling speakers were installed in key areas to provide high-fidelity, room-to-room audio with no visual impact The distributed audio system integrates with Control4, allowing residents to manage music across zones with ease.
Integrated Video Solutions
High-definition televisions were installed in primary living areas and fully integrated into the Control4 system. This setup allows for centralised content distribution, media control, and seamless interaction with other AV components.
Media Room
The lounge television solution was incorporated into a bespoke media wall, with a high performance sized matched soundbar situated below the screen, hidden cabinet subwoofer and in-visible plaster in ceiling speakers at the rear to complete a stunning surround sound setup.
Outcome
