Job Summary
We are growing our team and are on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Installation Engineer who’s ready to build a long-term career.
We are seeking someone who is experienced, proactive, and eager to be part of a close-knit, hardworking team. The ideal candidate will be down-to-earth, reliable, and great with people.
Operating from our showroom and offices in Tenterden, Kent, we deliver high-end projects primarily across the Southeast, with occasional work in Europe.
This hands-on role involves the installation and commissioning of both residential and commercial systems, including home automation and control systems, lighting control, multi-room audio, home cinema builds, and security solutions.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Understanding of programming and installation of home automation systems, including Control4 and Lutron.
- Installation and commissioning of Smart Home, Home Cinema, Audio Visual, Networking, CCTV and Outdoor AV equipment.
- Construction and build out of cinema rooms and media room solutions systems, such as fabric tracking, LED lighting and baffle walls.
- Installation, termination and testing of infrastructure cabling for Data, Speaker, Coaxial and Fibre cables.
- Maintenance and service of AV systems.
- Understanding and interpretation of AV schematics, construction drawings such as floorplans and system documentation operational/product manuals.
- Provide training and handovers on-site to the end user.
- Understanding of Comms Rack builds and common standards.
- Service calls and methodical fault finding, troubleshooting and resolution.
- Uses hand and power tools safely.
- Travels to job sites via company vehicles or public transport.
- Maintains company-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Interacts with clients, builders, designers, architects, and other industry professionals.
- Completion and submission of required paperwork.
- Commitment to safe working practices and maintaining Health and Safety requirements, and maintain a clean, tidy working environment.
- Attend training courses, as necessary.
- To become fully conversant with all areas of the business and office procedures.
- To be flexible in order to undertake the many different areas of work that are required, such as project work, producing reports, assistance with wider teams within the business.

Education & Experience
Previous experience in a similar role required.
- Basic understanding of construction phases and roles.
- Previous experience in systems integration preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.
- Industry recognised (CEDIA, AVIXA, manufacturer, etc.) credentials preferred.
Job Package
Full time position.
Salary: negotiable based on experience
Contracted hours: Monday to Friday 8:00-5:30
